Spin Entanglement – A Unifying Principle for Superconductors and Molecular Bonding

Received: 20 December 2023;  Published: 03 June 2024;  doi: 10.21926/rpm.2402012

Abstract

The spin-statistics theorem is generalized to include quantum entanglement. Specifically, within the context of spin entanglement, we prove that isotropically spin-correlated (ISC) states must occur in pairs. This pairing process can be composed of parallel or anti-parallel states. Consequently, the article proposes using ISC states as a unifying principle to explain better Bose-Einstein condensates, the theory of superconductivity, and molecular and atomic orbitals, all of which involve a pairing process. The theo [...]

Capillary Suction Properties of Mortar Made with Recycled Plastic Aggregates Elaborated from Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment

Received: 18 October 2023;  Published: 15 March 2024;  doi: 10.21926/rpm.2401007

Abstract

It is possible to revalue the plastic fraction from WEEE using it as a recycled aggregate (RA) in cement mortars. However, this feasibility depends on elaborating a granular material via a core-shell strategy to stabilize the potential contaminants. The core is a plastic particle, and the shell is a cement, fillers, and activated carbon mixture. Due to the hydrophilic characteristics of the shell and the presence of interstitial sites generated by the use of the RA, it is necessary to study the wetting properties o [...]

Influence of Thermal Environment Conditions on Mechanical Properties of MEX Printed 17-4 PH Stainless Steel

Received: 18 February 2024;  Published: 22 August 2024;  doi: 10.21926/rpm.2403020

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of thermal environmental conditions during printing and their effects on the mechanical properties of material extrusion (MEX) 3D-printed 17-4 PH stainless steel. Various ambient temperatures and cooling behaviors were used during the printing process of the tensile specimens. Following DIN EN ISO 50125 and DIN EN ISO 6892, the study analyzes tensile strength, elongation and yield strength. The results demonstrate that the thermal environmental conditions affect both tensile an [...]

Physiological Response of a Natural Central Incisor Tooth to Various Loading Conditions: A 3D Finite Element Study

Received: 05 May 2022;  Published: 24 April 2023;  doi: 10.21926/rpm.2302017

Abstract

This study evaluates the influence of different loading angles and the area of loading on the ensuing stress distribution and the physical response of a natural central incisor tooth, using a 3D finite element analysis. The CAD model of the incisor tooth assembly (including enamel, dentin, periodontal ligament, pulp, gingiva and jaw bone) was subject to an external (chewing) load of 100 N, over four different areas and at four different angles along the vertical. It was observed that the tooth experiences high von- [...]

Development of the Stochastic Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics by E. Nelson. Derivation of the Schrödinger-Euler-Poisson Equations

Received: 10 November 2023;  Published: 26 June 2024;  doi: 10.21926/rpm.2402014

Abstract

The article aims to develop the stochastic interpretation of quantum mechanics by E. Nelson based on balancing the intra-systemic contradiction (i.e., antisymmetry) between “order” and “chaos”. For the set task, it is proposed to combine two mutually opposite system-forming principles: “the principle of least action” and “the principle of maximum entropy” into one, the “principle of averaged efficiency extremum”. In a detailed consideration of the averaged states of a chaotically wandering particle, the time-indepe [...]

Quantitative Evaluations on Harmonic and Anharmonic Lattice Thermal Capacity of Polymers

Received: 28 December 2024;  Published: 22 May 2025;  doi: 10.21926/rpm.2502008

Abstract

So-called ‘Generalized Skettrup Model(s)’ (GSMs) of different (1D, 2D, 3D) spatial dimensionalities are used at simulations on temperature-dependent harmonic and anharmonic fractions of lattice thermal capacity of polyethylene and polypropylene with crystalline and/or amorphous atomic structures of limited spatial extents. Basic equations of the GSM slot in explicitly quantization effects of the single-particle and many-particle energy levels of spatially confined phonons. The harmonic lattice thermal c [...]

Deep Learning Approaches for Predicting Strain Energy in Heterogeneous Materials

Received: 15 July 2025;  Published: 24 October 2025;  doi: 10.21926/rpm.2504016

Abstract

This paper investigates data-driven strain energy prediction for heterogeneous elastic materials using the Mechanical MNIST benchmark dataset (60,000 28 × 28 stiffness maps by precomputed finite-element results). The results by classical regression models (linear regression, random forest, and gradient boosting) using hand-crafted features were compared with the results by the deep learning models (Convolutional neural network (CNN) and residual network (ResNet)) trained end-to-end on images. In held-out tests, CNN [...]

Bioremediation of Organic Compounds and Trace Metals from Landfill Leachate Using Lactobacillus kefiri Strains: A Sustainable Approach Based on Facultative Treatment

Received: 09 November 2023;  Published: 16 September 2025;  doi: 10.21926/rpm.2503014

Abstract

The sustainable management of water resources is increasingly recognized as a critical component of environmental conservation and socio-economic development. Among the most challenging aspects of wastewater treatment is the effective remediation of landfill leachate, a complex and highly polluted effluent characterized by high levels of organic matter, ammonia, turbidity, and heavy metals. This study investigates an integrated treatment approach that combines chemical coagulation using aluminum sulfate with a subs [...]

Received: 16 June 2025;  Published: 17 November 2025;  doi: 10.21926/rpm.2504017

Abstract

The study focuses on the rapid green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) and alginate-silver nanocomposite (Alg-AgNc) beads using sweet basil or Mashmoom (Ocimum basilicum), a common household medicinal herb in Bahrain. The aqueous extract of mashmoom was used as a reducing and stabilizing agent in the reduction of the precursor salt, silver nitrate, and formation of stable AgNPs. The Alg-AgNc beads were prepared by ionotropic gelation of sodium alginate-AgNPs solution in calcium chloride. A strong surface pl [...]

A New Model for the Shear of Atomic Planes

Received: 21 December 2025;  Published: 18 March 2026;  doi: 10.21926/rpm.2601002

Abstract

The article presents a model that describes the shear of atomic planes in crystalline solids by accounting for their electronic structure. Previous studies have shown that an isotropic distribution of valence electrons leads to a spherically symmetric interatomic potential, which affects the stability of the crystal lattice against small shear deformations. Under these conditions, lattice stability is largely determined by the crystal's surface layer. As a consequence, the resistance to atomic-plane shear exhibits [...]
