Catalysis Research is an international peer-reviewed Open Access journal published quarterly online by LIDSEN Publishing Inc. This periodical is devoted to publishing high-quality papers that describe the most significant and cutting-edge research in all areas of catalysts and catalyzed reactions. Its aim is to provide timely, authoritative introductions to current thinking, developments and research in carefully selected topics.

The journal publishes a variety of article types: Original Research, Review, Communication, Opinion, Comment, Conference Report, Technical Note, Book Review, etc.
There is no restriction on paper length, provided that the text is concise and comprehensive. Authors should present their results in as much detail as possible, as reviewers are encouraged to emphasize scientific rigor and reproducibility.

About This Topic
The transition towards a circular and low-carbon economy requires innovative catalytic technologies for the efficient conversion of wastes, renewable resources and carbon-containing feedstocks into value-added products, chemicals and energy carriers. This Special Issue aims to highlight recent advances in catalytic technologies and techniques addressing waste valorization, resource recovery, environmental remediation and sustainable energy conversion.
Contributions are invited on the development, synthesis and characterization of advanced heterogeneous catalysts and catalytic materials, including nanostructured, multifunctional and ceramic-based systems, as well as on emerging catalytic technologies such as photocatalysis, electrocatalysis, plasma catalysis, advanced oxidation processes, thermocatalysis, catalytic membranes, membrane reactors etc. Particular emphasis is also placed on catalyst shaping and structuring, immobilized and supported catalysts, catalytic process intensification, catalyst regeneration and stability, and advanced fabrication approaches including plasma reactors, additive manufacturing and 3D printing. Applications may include waste-to-energy and waste-to-chemicals processes, biomass and CO2 valorization, pollutant degradation and removal, and fuel-cell-related catalytic processes.
Both fundamental and applied studies addressing catalytic mechanisms, structure–activity relationships, process performance, sustainability and scale-up are strongly encouraged.
