Abstract
(ISSN 2771-490X)
Catalysis Research is an international peer-reviewed Open Access journal published quarterly online by LIDSEN Publishing Inc. This periodical is devoted to publishing high-quality papers that describe the most significant and cutting-edge research in all areas of catalysts and catalyzed reactions. Its aim is to provide timely, authoritative introductions to current thinking, developments and research in carefully selected topics.
Topics contain but are not limited to:
It publishes a variety of article types: original research, review, communication, opinion, study protocol, comment, conference report, technical note, book review, etc.
There is no restriction on paper length, provided that the text is concise and comprehensive. Authors should present their results in as much detail as possible, as reviewers are encouraged to emphasize scientific rigor and reproducibility.

About the topic:
Dear Colleagues,
The progressive depletion of fossil fuels and raise awareness of their effects on climate change have boosted the research of sustainable alternatives. Biomass, as a renewable feedstock, has been gaining utmost importance since, by its conversion, several chemicals, biofuels and added value products can be achieved from sustainability perspectives. The studies on heterogeneous catalysts applied in biomass conversion are in dynamic growth, although still efforts have to be done considering that several industrial plants are still based on the use of homogeneous catalysts.
This Special Issue is targeted to collect quality papers about the synthesis and application of New Heterogeneous Catalysts for Biomass Conversion.
The studies will emphasize on morphological and catalytic properties of these heterogeneous catalysts and their application on the achievement of chemicals, biofuels and added value products. Studies concerning the use of green procedures, both for the synthesis of materials and their applications, following the principle of circular chemistry are strongly welcome.
I am pleased to invite you to submit manuscripts for this Special Issue on Development of New Heterogeneous Catalysts for Biomass Conversion, in the form of research papers, communications, letters, and review articles.
