Spin Entanglement – A Unifying Principle for Superconductors and Molecular Bondingby
Abstract
The spin-statistics theorem is generalized to include quantum entanglement. Specifically, within the context of spin entanglement, we prove that isotropically spin-correlated (ISC) states must occur in pairs. This pairing process can be composed of parallel or anti-parallel states. Consequently, the article proposes using ISC states as a unifying principle to explain better Bose-Einstein condensates, the theory of superconductivity, and molecular and atomic orbitals, all of which involve a pairing process. The theo [...] 1124 8712 |
Enhancing Thermal, Viscoelastic, and Mechanical Properties of Silicone Rubber Matrix through Reinforcements for Use as a Medical ImplantAbstract
The use of silicone rubber as an implant is limited due to its weak properties. In this study, the impact of various reinforcements, such as TiO2 or SiO2 nanoparticles, carbon, or polypropylene fiber micro reinforcements, on the mechanical, thermal, and viscoelastic properties of silicone rubber composites with RTV-4125 matrix was investigated. The composites were evaluated through several tests, including tensile, compression, FTIR, TGA, DMTA, and water adsorption tests. It was found that the composites' tensi [...] 2635 16713 |
Whisker Bond: From Findings to Concept in Refractoriesby
Abstract
Ceramic bonds are conventionally formed during the burning of refractory bricks and by using pre-fabricated blocks or monolithic lining, which is characterized as the coalescence of the particles by liquid sintering. However, the whisker bond was discovered with the outstanding performance of unburnt periclase–spinel–Al bricks while substituting magnesia–chrome bricks in the chromium-free campaign of refractory lining of RH degassers. Thanks to the prominent effect of the whisker bond, such a refr [...] 1439 6594 |
Review on the Development of Titanium Diboride CeramicsAbstract
Titanium diboride (TiB2) materials have garnered significant attention due to their remarkable comprehensive properties. They offer potential applications in high-temperature structural materials, cutting tools, armor, electrodes for metal smelting, and wear-resistant parts. However, due to the low self-diffusion coefficient, the TiB2 exhibits poor sinterability, excessive grain growth at elevated temperatures, and inadequate oxidation resistance, limiting its wide application. Therefore, many research works are de [...] 4145 25168 |
A Review on Silk Fibers and Their Medical ApplicationsAbstract
This mini-compilation study included the chemical structure, mechanical, thermal, and dimensional properties of silk fiber, its production process, pre-treatment, and biomedical applications from various experimental studies, which are compiled and summarized. The silk fiber should have a degumming process before using biomedical applications. The 25% concentration for Na2CO3 in ethanol solution (80%) as a coagulant chemical with a salt such as LiB2 (9 M) at a temperature of 98°C for 45 minutes at pH between 6 [...] 13184 29949 |
Capillary Suction Properties of Mortar Made with Recycled Plastic Aggregates Elaborated from Waste Electrical and Electronic EquipmentAbstract
It is possible to revalue the plastic fraction from WEEE using it as a recycled aggregate (RA) in cement mortars. However, this feasibility depends on elaborating a granular material via a core-shell strategy to stabilize the potential contaminants. The core is a plastic particle, and the shell is a cement, fillers, and activated carbon mixture. Due to the hydrophilic characteristics of the shell and the presence of interstitial sites generated by the use of the RA, it is necessary to study the wetting properties o [...] 1048 5592 |
Self-Healing Concrete Techniques and Technologies and Applicationsby
Abstract
The main weakest point of concrete is its exposure to cracks, and concrete structure repair is expensive, especially for infrastructure maintenance, which is difficult to access. The ability of self-healing concrete (SHC) to successfully heal fractures without the assistance of humans has received much attention since it increases operational life and lowers maintenance expenses. This paper reviews various techniques and technologies of autogenous and autonomous self-healing concrete. Much more attention is given t [...] 8025 76324 |
Do Magnetic Monopoles Exist?Abstract
In this paper, we continue our previous work by discussing the consequences of curvature in spacetime caused by the presence of mass and the implications of this. We address the question raised by Dirac regarding the impact of a magnetic monopole on the quantum world. We discuss quantization concerning the solid angles observed, which may have a connection with a magnetic monopole. 1890 12836 |
Elementary Collective Effects in Systems Containing Small Fermion-NumbersAbstract
Collective effects are a typical nuclear feature that refers to the behavior of a group of N fermions (protons and neutrons) within the atomic nucleus. Our interest lies in light nuclei only. Thus, we consider here, using the Lipkin model, a small-N fermion system at low-temperature T and discover -collective phenomena. Our fermion-model simplicity allows one to gain insight into collective fermion behavior. We focus attention, for N<20, on several quantifiers. These include standard ones related to thermal [...] 1476 6125 |
Modified Organized Systems by Incorporation of Carbon Allotropes and Derivatives for Electron Shuttle, ET, FRET, MEF, and Quantum Biology CouplingAbstract
This communication was brief to show how high conjugated carbon-based structures and carbon allotropes could participate as electron shuttles, semiconductors, quantum emitters, and Optoelectronic processors within confined nanostructured organized systems. In particular, it was focused on nanoassemblies such as vesicles, micelles, and lipidic nanoparticles and incorporated insights from other types of nanomaterials that could afford to develop new organized systems. In these cases, the term organized system was use [...] 1219 7151 |
