We sincerely welcome Prof. Dr. Bárbara Socas-Rodríguez from Universidad de La Laguna (ULL), Spain, to join the Editorial Board of Recent Progress in Nutrition. Dr. Socas-Rodríguez’s research activity has been focused on the determination of organic contaminants in agro-food and environmental matrices, applying sustainable methodologies hyphenated with mass spectrometry. During her postdoctoral studies, she extended her knowledge to the use of supercritical fluids and biological samples, as well as the safety evaluation of valorised food by-products and the study of bioactivity in NADES extracts. Dr. Socas-Rodríguez has published 15 book chapters and 60 articles (JCR), including 12 research articles related to innovation in education, and has presented 150 communications in national and international conferences, obtaining several awards, participating as a plenary and keynote speaker in several of them. We welcome Dr. Song-Yang Zhang from McGill University, Canada, to join the Editorial Board of Recent Progress in Nutrition.  Dr. Zhang studies how the nutrient, hormone, and cytokine signals in the brain maintain energy, glucose, and lipid balance, and how these signals are impaired by overnutrition. We welcome Dr. Nafisa M. Jadavji from Southern Illinois University, USA, to join the Editorial Board of Recent Progress in Nutrition. Dr. Jadavji is a Neuroscientist. She is an Assistant Professor at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, as well as a Research Professor at the University of Arizona, and Carleton University. She completed her doctoral training at McGill University in Montréal, Canada. Currently, her laboratory investigates how the brain responds to different biological processes throughout the lifespan. More specifically, her lab studies how the brain responds to changes in one-carbon metabolism, with a specific focus on maternal nutrition contributions to offspring neurodevelopment, neurological diseases (e.g. ischemic stroke and vascular dementia), and aging.

We welcome Dr. Tzortzis Nomikos from Harokopio University, Greece, to join the Editorial Board of Recent Progress in Nutrition. Dr. Nomikos is an Associate Professor of Biochemistry at Harokopio University. He has extensive experience in the metabolism of lipid mediators, nutrition and platelet functionality, postprandial dysmetabolism, nutrition and exercise-induced muscle damage.
