We sincerely welcome Prof. Dr. Ioannis D. Manariotis from University of Patras, Rio, Greece, to join the Editorial Board of Advances in Environmental and Engineering Research. Ioannis Manariotis holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering from the University of Patras (1990) and a Doctorate Diploma in Civil Engineering from the same university (2000). He joined the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Patras in 2009. Dr. Manariotis is the author (Scopus Author ID 6506601790) of over 80 peer-reviewed articles in scientific journals and more than 100 articles in conference proceedings publications. He has participated in 12 research projects funded be the European Union and national funds, serving as principal investigator in three of them. He has acted as reviewer for 30 international scientific journals, and he is member of several international and Greek scientific organizations and associations. His main research interests are in environmental engineering with emphasis on biological wastewater treatment, wastewater treatment using microalgae for energy and biofuel production, nature-based systems, the impact of nanoparticles on microalgae, physicochemical processes, biochar as a sorbent and catalyst, and advanced oxidation processes. Dr. Zhi Chen received his PhD degree from the University of Regina, Canada and B.Eng. from the Dalian University of Technology, China. He worked at the University of Regina, the National Research Council Canada (NRC), and Oil & Gas industry before he joined Concordia University in 2004. His research interests include Modeling of Pollutant’s Fate and Transport in the Environment, Risk Assessment, Air Pollution, and Environmental Application of Systems Analysis and Information Technology. Research results and the developed models have been applied to the pollution control planning, management of soil and groundwater contamination, and coastal environmental protection. We sincerely welcome Prof. Dr. Marta I. Litter from University of Gral. San Martín, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina, to join the Editorial Board of Advances in Environmental and Engineering Research. Litter is Doctor in Chemistry from the Buenos Aires University, Argentina (1974) with Postdoctoral stage at the University of Arizona, USA (1983). She is Senior Researcher of the National Research Council (CONICET) and Full Professor at the University of General San Martín, Argentina. She was Principal Researcher and Head of the Environmental Chemistry Remediation Division at the National Atomic Commission. Main research interests: treatment of organic and inorganic contaminants in water and air by innovative advanced technologies, especially heterogeneous photocatalysis and use of iron nanomaterials. She authored more than 250 scientific publications in international journals, books and chapters of books. She received the Mercosur Prize twice in 2006 and 2011. She was President of the Organizing Committee of the 5th International Congress on Arsenic in the Environment in Buenos Aires, Argentina, 2014. His academic and research background is primarily focused on environmental engineering, specializing in bioelectrochemical process design for energy and environmental applications. He has actively pursued opportunities for collaboration, training, and communication to establish himself as a prominent researcher in the field of bioelectrochemistry. Throughout his research journey, he has achieved significant milestones, including impactful publications, prestigious fellowships such as Marie Curie and Brain Pool, and participation in innovative projects like the Creative Challenge Project of Korea and Korea-India joint projects on bioenergy recovery from various wastes. During his Ph.D. and postdoc research, he also contributed to laboratory development and initiated pioneering research directions. Additionally, he gained valuable experience by co-supervising master's and Ph.D. students from diverse cultural backgrounds, further enhancing his skills in knowledge sharing and mentoring. We sincerely welcome Prof. Dr. Keng Yuen Foo from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang, Malaysia, to join the Editorial Board of Advances in Environmental and Engineering Research. Prof. Dr. Foo Keng Yuen is the Deputy Director of River Engineering and Urban Drainage Research Centre, Universiti Sains Malaysia. His research interests are environmental engineering, waste utilization, water treatment technology, catalysis, food security and toxicology, and environmental health. He has involved in different kinds of university, national and international research grants, amounting to approximately RM 11.3 million. His aptitude for high quality research of international standing has been supported by the consultancy projects of exceeding RM 3.9 million, more than 100 international publications, with a total citation of exceeding 19,000, and an author h-index of 42. In term of Intellectual Property Rights, he holds 3 patents, 1 trade-secret and 1 trademark. Foo’s scholastic achievements and thought leadership are recognised locally and internationally. He is honoured to be the winner of National Young Scientist Award 2017, International Young Inventor Award, Marquis Who's Who in the World, Top100 Engineers, and Honorary Doctorate of Letters by International Biographical Centre Cambridge, England, and special award or medal winners in International Inventions, Competitions and Exhibitions. He serves as the Editor, Editorial Board Members, Scientific Adviser, Technical Committee, Review Committee, Keynote and Invited Speakers in international scientific journals, conferences, and research seminars. Foo has been nominated as the Chief Consultant for several UNESCO’s international workshops, connecting with more than 30 industrial partners, currently has been appointed as the technical consultant for TG Ocean Sdn.
