Recent Progress in Materials is an international peer-reviewed Open Access journal published quarterly online by LIDSEN Publishing Inc. This periodical is devoted to publishing high-quality papers that describe the most significant and cutting-edge research in all areas of Materials. Recent Progress in Materials publishes original high quality experimental and theoretical papers and reviews on basic and applied research in the field of materials science and engineering, with focus on synthesis, processing, constitution, and properties of all classes of materials. About This Topic
Polymer fibre-reinforced composites continue to dominate lightweight constructions and findings application from sectors such as automotive, utility, construction, oil and gas and renewable energy. In recent years, manufacturing process has also improved through automation and now include 3D manufacturing technologies. The evaluation of mechanical properties and performance is the baseline criteria for these materials applications. This special issue will cover mechanical and thermos-mechanical properties, components testing and characterization, modelling and simulation, manufacturing process impact on functional properties, failure analysis, damage characterization, defects and applications of polymer fibre-reinforced composites.
