Following publication, the editorial office received a request from the first author to revise the article, accompanied by a list of proposed changes of unclear origin and a revised version of the accepted manuscript. The editorial office contacted the authors to clarify the source of the proposed changes and confirm that all authors had agreed to them. The authors were also informed that the requested revisions would substantially alter the article’s content.
Nevertheless, the authors maintained that the changes had been prepared by their team and requested extensive revisions to the published article. After consulting the academic editor responsible for the article, the editorial office determined that the authors’ actions raised concerns about the reliability of the published work and therefore decided to retract the article. All authors were notified of this decision, but none responded.
