About This Topic
As a key driver, agriculture relies heavily on different sources of energy, in general and fossil energy, in particular. Sustainable agricultural growth and environmental concerns require better management of energy application in agricultural production, optimum allocation of scarce fossil energy resources, and promotion of green energy use in agriculture in the future. Therefore, study on the role and status of economic principles in the application of energy in agriculture, proper energy policy settings (price and non-price alternatives) ensuring sustainable agricultural growth, and presentation of successful experience of developed countries in agricultural energy management through development of new green energy resources are areas of great importance.
