About This Topic

This Special Issue aims to advance our understanding of how stress coping and emotion regulation strategies influence human health across diverse life domains. While substantial research has examined these processes in clinical or laboratory settings, less is known about how they operate dynamically within the everyday contexts that shape well-being.

This issue invites contributions from four key domains: education (e.g., academic stress, burnout among students and teachers, classroom emotional climate); workplace (e.g., occupational stress, leadership styles, organizational interventions, work-life balance); social relations (e.g., peer support, family dynamics, cultural influences on coping); and partnership (e.g., dyadic coping, romantic relationship quality, conflict resolution, co-parenting stress).

We welcome empirical, theoretical, and review papers that explore both maladaptive and adaptive strategies (e.g., reappraisal, suppression, mindfulness, social coping) and their health outcomes — psychological, physiological, and behavioral. Cross-domain and comparative studies are particularly encouraged, as are interventions that target coping and regulation in real-world settings. The goal is to publish high-quality, impactful research that bridges disciplines and offers practical insights for promoting resilience and health across the lifespan.
