Work at any scale, from molecular biology to ecology, is welcomed.

About This Topic
Climate change is intensifying droughts, water scarcity, and hydroclimatic extremes, creating growing challenges for ecosystems, communities, and sustainable development. Recent advances in remote sensing, Earth observation, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning provide new opportunities to monitor, predict, and manage these risks across multiple spatial and temporal scales. This Special Issue focuses on innovative applications and methodological advances that integrate remote sensing and AI for climate resilience. Topics of interest include climate extremes, drought monitoring and prediction, satellite-based water-stress monitoring, AI-driven drought forecasting and early warning, ecosystem responses to climate change, climate-risk assessment, climate-impact and vulnerability analysis, climate adaptation and resilience assessment, AI-based Earth observation, multi-source data fusion, digital twins, and decision-support systems. Studies integrating satellite observations, ground measurements, process-based models, and advanced AI approaches are particularly encouraged. The Special Issue aims to advance the integration of Earth observation and artificial intelligence for climate-risk assessment, adaptation, and resilience-building.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted through the LIDSEN Submission System. Detailed information on manuscript preparation and submission is available in the Instructions for Authors. Upon acceptance, the article will be immediately published in a regular issue of the journal and will be listed together on the special issue website, with a label that the article belongs to the Special Issue. LIDSEN distributes articles under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY 4.0) License in an open-access model. The authors own the copyright to the article, and the article can be free to access, distribute, and reuse provided that the original work is correctly cited.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers).
