Therefore, medical students in Cuba need professional training to serve as online mental health promoters. To achieve this, these students must be trained using the “significant semantic core” method. This initiative aligns with several objectives of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which advocates for reducing the morbidity associated with mental disorders. Furthermore, a master’s degree program specializing in mental health promotion should be established at a higher education institution. Officials from the Cuban Ministry of Public Health should train university mid-level technicians as health promoters to support existing public health programs. Finally, the creation of a virtual exchange platform is proposed, enabling medical students trained as mental health promoters to assist Cuban citizens experiencing mental health issues.
