In response, this Perspective explores the integration of reflective writing and sound healing as complementary practices for supporting well-being. The article begins by defining reflective writing and examining its use through an interdisciplinary framework that emphasizes its core functions of catharsis, processing, and bearing witness. It then turns to sound healing, exploring sound-based practices as integrative modalities that engage bodily experience and emotional regulation, with attention to their documented associations with anxiety reduction and nervous system support. Building on these foundations, the article brings the two practices into direct dialogue, suggesting that reflective writing’s narrative and meaning-making capacities may be strengthened through sound-based support for physiological regulation and embodied awareness, while sound healing may be enriched through reflective writing’s role in integration and reflective sense-making. Drawing on pedagogical and practice-based illustrations, concrete facilitation guidelines are outlined for integrating reflective writing and sound healing within educational and community-based settings, with attention to sequencing, accessibility, and participant experience. The discussion concludes by identifying directions for future interdisciplinary research on the combined use of reflective writing and sound-based practices in well-being-oriented contexts.
