As such, this research examined the use of two types of mobile devices, smartphones, and tablets, by older adults (i.e., age 65+), as well as the use of a new interface, developed for research purposes, called “PhonAge”. This study was exploratory, and utilizes frequency data and tables, in order to get a sense of older adults’ usage patterns with this interface. Specifically, this research focused on older adults’ use of the different features and functions of both the PhonAge interface as well as older adults’ usage of the smartphones and tablets themselves.
