Different characterization techniques such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM), FT-IR spectrometry, and UV-Vis spectrophotometry were used. Many properties were characterized, and the resulting activated carbon could serve as an inexpensive catalytic support with a high surface area and a large micropore volume, even at a (20%) loading ratio of (Fe2O3-SnO2/AC). Adsorption of methylene blue dye (MB) onto (Fe2O3-SnO2/AC) surface was studied and optimal conditions were determined. The adsorption of methylene blue best fit the traditional Tempkin isotherm model, and the maximum capacity were 294.11 mg/g.
