These photocatalysts were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), UV-vis spectroscopy, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and their photocatalytic properties were investigated. Compared with pure Bi2MoO6 or Ag2CrO4, BA-5 exhibited a higher photocatalytic property and broader light absorption. In addition, the surface plasmon resonance (SPR) effect of Ag enhanced the separation of photogenerated carriers. BA-5 could be recycled at least five times, and XRD and SEM of BA-5 during the cycles were measured, revealing that the crystal structure and morphology were changed with the increase in the number of cycles. The trapping agent experiments indicated that the holes had a more decisive impact on the degradation of RhB; the degradation mechanism was proposed as Type I.
